Adam Pitt

Adam Pitt is a New Jersey–based woodblock printmaking artist whose work examines power, hierarchy, and contemporary systems of control through stark, graphic imagery. In Virtual Boss, Pitt uses the language of traditional woodcut printmaking to explore modern authority—disembodied, bureaucratic, and eerily familiar.

The exhibition presents a new body of work that reflects on leadership in the digital age, where commands are issued from screens, systems replace faces, and obedience becomes ritualized. Pitt’s bold black-and-white compositions balance dark humor with social critique, inviting viewers to reflect on their own position within these structures.
