Cecilia Whittaker-Doe

Cecilia Whittaker- Doe is a New York based Artist, drawing her inspiration from human connection with the natural environment. She creates abstract landscape paintings using vivid colors and offset perspective, giving an enigmatic yet inviting quality to the environment. Water, trees, plants and animals are all conceived with a precise rhythm and movement meant to symbolize the continual growth and change of life. Whittaker-Doe uses both printmaking and painting to create works on both paper and panel.

Cecilia Whittaker Doe received her BFA from Buffalo State College and her MFA from Brooklyn College. She  has had several exhibitions throughout New York City, including a group exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum. Currently she has a solo exhibition at NHFPL Gallery in New Haven, Connecticut. Her work is held in several private collections.
