Emma KIM

Emma Kim is a Korean painter in New Jersey. Flower paintings in Art Nouveau style are her signature works, which is inspired by nature such as flowers, plants' stem, and leaves. The motive of her work is happiness and she believes painting is her gift to find her identity and flourish to others. Kim uses Korean traditional pigment and papers for her painting. She is a professional fashion fabric designer in Manhattan as well.   

 

Kim creates installation work with self-designed wallpapers and her original paintings for the first solo exhibition in Art Mora during 2017 winter.

Also, Kim keep continues to combine the different techniques of arts such as Najeon Lacquerware and Mother of Pearl since 2019. Her 3rd solo exhibition unveiled new series of painting with a mother of pearl, eggshells, and crystals on Korean traditional painting.
